The MV Agusta Reparto Corse pairing of Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti headed up no less than four Kawasaki machines as the WSS class spent two days on track at Phillip Island for the final tests of the pre-season.

Cluzel was 0.3 ahead of Zanetti’s triple while in third place Kenan Sofuoglu (Puccetti Racing Kawasaki) was over half a second down in third.

WSS rookie and Stock 600 champion Marco Faccani, Sofuoglu’s team-mate, speared himself a surprise fourth place on his first visit to PI, and another rising star, Lucas Mahias led his Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres team-mate PJ Jacobsen to fifth place.

Seventh, and the top Honda rider, proved to be Ratthapark Wilairot (Core Motorsport Thailand) in a small new team, finding its way steadily.

CIA Landlords Insurance Hondas rider Riccardo Russo placed one position back in eighth, as new Pata Honda rider Kyle Smith went ninth. Twenty-four WSS riders took part in the tests at PI, with the best local rider being Aiden Wagner (Oz Wildcard Racing Yamaha) 16th. AARK Racing Honda rider Glenn Scott was 19th and Alex Phillis (Team Lorini Honda) 20th.
