WSB: Off Colour Davies Looking For Final Few Tenths

1 of 1

Official Ducati rider Chaz Davies has been toiling with the last few settings on his machine at Imola, and also fighting the effects of a low level but irritating illness that has been difficult to shake off.

“We are trying to sort the engine braking a little bit into the final chicane and get a little bit of grip down the hill, which is also last sector,” said Davies, who was half a second of his team-mate after three qualifying practice sessions.

“There are also little bits to work on elsewhere to get to the guys who have been consistently good in the times, Johnny and Tom. The consistent weather conditions have helped us but I also have a banging headache I have been struggling with it. I am not real happy about it, as it is not ideal. I do not feel so great and since last week I have been struggling. I am not sniffing or snivelling, I have not got a cold, not coughing – it is just a bit weird and I could do without it, that is for sure.”
