Davies confident of Spanish form

Chaz Davies has won three of the last four World Superbike races and the Welshman could be excused for feeling that his momentum of the summer has been lost by the summer break. However more so than that he’s feeling confident of continuing his form after a refreshing summer and the return to action at Jerez, where he had two top four finishes last year.

“I’m ready to get back on my Panigale after the long summer break,” said Davies. “After Sepang, I enjoyed ten days off in Bali, which was a pretty action-packed holiday, and since then I’ve been keeping busy with a lot of riding across different disciplines which has been fun!”

Last year in race one Davies finished on the rostrum and having been on the podium 14 times already this year, including a win on Spanish soil at Aragon, he’s looking forward to tackling Jerez.

“I’m looking forward to the weekend and think we have every reason to be confident, considering recent results and also last year’s outcome at Jerez. I think that last season our weak areas were really highlighted at Jerez but despite that we were still able to reach the podium. We’ve learned a lot since then, and so I’m feeling optimistic heading into this eleventh round.”
