MV’s eagerly-awaited new 'RR' version of its F4 1000 superbike has proved a hit with customers before even reaching the showroom floor.

The first UK-bound, 10-bike batch of the range-topping 200bhp machine has already sold out, despite its hefty price tag, with a second shipment now due at the end of the month.

For your £17,999 you get the most powerful version of the F4 yet, producing 201bhp (18hp more than the standard F4). This is the result of a new over-square layout, new head, ultra lightweight forged pistons and new exhaust. The chassis, meanwhile, boasts top-notch Ohlins suspension front and rear, Ohlins steering damper and exquisite forged aluminium wheels.

Steve Oliver of UK importers MotoGB says: "We knew that the RR version of the MV Agusta F4 would be popular but we had no idea just how quickly they would sell. Literally, as soon as that first batch came into our workshops for distribution to our dealers they were sold. We had a 50/50 split of red and white machines with both obviously proving equally popular!"
