Andy has worked at MCN for nearly 20 years in various different roles and even served as Editor from 2012-2019.

His grass track-racing Dad used to drag him around various dusty fields in the '70s, before his own motorcycle career started at 16 years old on a Suzuki AP50.

A Yamaha DT100, RD200 and YPVS 350 and Fazer 600 were to follow as he worked his way through various local newspapers in the '80s and '90s – East Grinstead Courier, Derby Evening Telegraph and the Coventry Evening Telegraph. He even joined his Dad for a couple of seasons of MZ racing in the early 90s, although seldom threatened the podium… or even the top 10!

More recently Andy has run a Honda CBR500R, Yamaha MT-07, Yamaha XSR900, Ducati SuperSport S, Zero DSR, Suzuki Katana and BMW R1200RS as long-term test bikes and loved them all, although the SuperSport probably shone the brightest!

He loves a bit of MotoGP and the TT and has even been known to take in the odd speedway event, clipboard and airhorn in hand.
