Dainese has confirmed that they do plan to officially reveal a street version of the D-Air airbag system in their 2011 range.

The news was confirmed by the D-Air Project Leader, Alessandro Bellati, this week during the 2010 product launch at the headquarters in Vicenza.

“We are hoping for the D-Air Street for 2011,” Bellati told MCN.

“We now know we have to have a trigger attached to the bike – the road version will work in a very different way to the D-Air Racing.”

The Italian manufacture displayed the continuation of the D-Air project, as seen and brought to you by MCN back in May.

This red jacket however hasn’t been seen before.

It shows the latest D-Air Racing technology with the expandable stretch fabric over the shoulders to allow the airbag to expand, but in a road-going jacket version.
