British rider Scott Redding launches new Piaggio MP3 models

Piaggio have announced the new MP3 range which includes updates to the 500cc models and an all new 350cc version.

The three-wheeled scooters, which can be driven on a car licence, were released with a promo video featuring MotoGP riders Scott Redding and Aleix Espargaro riding them around the Mugello circuit.

The Piaggio MP3 500 hpe models come in a ‘Sport’ and ‘Business’ specs include a new engine with increased 44.2bhp performance, new screen and saddle, as well as gas rear shocks and wavy brake discs on the Sport and a TomTom Vio navigator on the Business.

Sporting an all-new 30bhp, 350cc engine, the Piaggio MP3 350 gets a new screen and saddle, wavy front discs and updated styling.

All three of the new models feature ABS and ASR (Acceleration Slip Regulation) to keep the rear wheel from slipping on dangerous surfaces.

Piaggio’s promo video shows the Aprilia team riders Redding and Espargaro having fun on the three-wheelers but Redding posted his own outtakes from the day on social media performing unlikely stunts on the scooter.
