Brunstrom verdict delayed again

The Independent Police Complaint Commission investigation into Chief Constable Richard Brunstrom showing pictures of a dead biker to journalists has been completed – but the verdict won’t be made public until September.

Richard Brunstrom caused outrage in the motorcycling community when he revealed pictures of a motorcyclist killed in an accident to a room full of journalists without consulting the victim’s family earlier this year, and an IPCC investigation was launched as a result of MCN reader complaints.

The investigator will finish writing the report shortly – but to formally conclude the investigation and make the results public will take until September, an IPCC spokesperson has just revealed to MCN.
