Jorge Lorenzo pays Moon-landing tribute

The man who plunges a flag into the gravel at circuits he wins at is paying tribute to the man to first stick a flag on the moon this weekend at Estoril.

In order to celebrate the 40 year anniversary of the first Moon landing, Jorge Lorenzo will wear this special helmet this weekend at the Portuguese MotoGP.

“That’s one small step for to man, one giant leap for mankind”, as phrased by Neil Armstrong is marked on the back of the X-Lite X-802, while big black area around the visor is meant to replicate the old space helmets.

Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi also have special leathers and bike liveries this weekend to mark the launch of the Fiat Punto Evo car.
