Reynolds will race despite injury

John Reynolds has confirmed he will be racing at the Snetterton round of British Superbikes this weekend, despite a broken collarbone.

The Suzuki rider is having laser treatment, after crashing his GSX-R1000 in qualifying for the opening round of the series at Silverstone.

” As far as I am concerned I am racing at Snetterton ” , Reynolds said. ” It’s a typical break of the collarbone and it’s now down to the bones knitting together. ”

The final hurdle will be if race organisers insist he must perform a push-up to show he is fit enough to race. Appearing in the celebrity chat show at the MCN Spring Spectacular, he admitted that a push-up would be close to impossible at the moment, but insisted he will be on the grid at the weekend.
