Confidence high for O’Halloran after Oulton success

Honda Racing rider Jason O’Halloran says his confidence is sky-high going into the CME British Superbike summer break, after a pair of impressive performances at Oulton Park last time out left him seventh and fifth.

“The weekend was really good and I left there with even more confidence because I feel like we made a step closer to the front guys. We have been chipping away and I feel that last weekend we made that next step forwards so we were pretty happy with that.

“Race one was a little bit frustrating for me to be honest because I struggled with the movement in the back of the bike but we made some changes for race two an we made some extra time up. There were guys who crashed in front of us but we will take the result, as it certainly wasn’t easy because the championship is so strong this year.

“I think we will only get stronger now, especially as we have the two day test at Snetterton before the event. It’s a strong pace in the top group and I feel like at the moment I am in a bit of no mans land between the first group and the second, but I know the team are working hard and we will be doing everything we can to close the gap.”
