Kyle Ryde has signed a new deal with OMG Racing ahead of this weekend’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship meeting at Oulton Park.

Ryde joined the team in 2021 onboard BMW machinery, before he and the team took a big step forward the following season with Yamaha. Ryde, teammate to eventual champion Bradley Ray, qualified for the Showdown and finished sixth overall after celebrating a single victory and five podiums.

This season, Ryde has been a frontrunner once more. Heading into the final three rounds of the year, Ryde sits third in the championship having taken four wins and eight podiums so far. He’s 51 points behind championship leader Tommy Bridewell as things stand.

“I am really happy to continue with the OMG Racing team for the 2024 season,” Ryde said. “We’ve come a long way together since I joined the team in 2021 and feel like we have made big steps with the bike and myself at all circuits this season.

“With the commitment and support from Yamaha next year we should be in an even stronger position for 2024. I want to thank Alan, Paul and the whole OMG Racing team for their continued support. We will now keep focused and set our sights on continuing to fight for the championship this season.”

With the upcoming departure of 2021 champions McAMS Yamaha from the championship, OMG will become the official Yamaha supported team in 2024.

Ryan Vickers will remain alongside Ryde as he signed a two-year deal at the beginning of the 2023 season. Vickers is also enjoying a positive campaign having secured his maiden BSB victory at Brands Hatch.

“Kyle has proven himself to be not only a formidable opponent, but a fantastic asset to the team over the last three seasons,” Alan Gardner, OMG Racing Team Owner added. “Confirming he’ll be with us again next season means that we can carry on pushing forward in order to retain the Bennetts British Superbike title with the same line-up, and as we all know, consistency is key at this level.

“Next year is exciting for us as we step up our relationship with Yamaha, so to enter that with both Kyle & Ryan is very exciting for the whole team.”
