Suzuki rookie Alvaro Bautista reckons he’s learning how to adapt quicker to MotoGP thanks to help and advice coming from vastly experienced team-mate Loris Capirossi.

Bautista has been steadily improving his confidence with the new factory Suzuki GSV-R in winter testing and is many people’s tip to finish top rookie in 2010.

And the Spaniard has given credit for his impressive move from an Aprilia 250 two-stroke machine to veteran Italian Capirossi.

The triple world champion is the most experienced rider in racing history and his appearance in the season’s opening clash in Qatar on April 11 will be a record 300th in Grand Prix.

And former 125GP world champion Bautista reckons Capirossi’s input has been invaluable.

He told MCN: “Loris is the most experienced rider in MotoGP and the positive thing is we are both working in the same way. We have no wall in the middle of the garage and no problem in comparing the data.

“Always when I have a question about riding or the bike he always helps me and at the moment he is helping me a lot.”
