Kent leads way in damp Moto3 opener

Danny Kent topped the times in opening practice at Le Mans with the Englishman setting his fastest time on his final lap of the morning on a drying track. The conditions were difficult at the beginning of the session with riders forced to use wet tyres for the opening half of the session.

Most of the runners elected to stay in pitlane for the opening 20 minutes with the final third of the session seeing the field get some running. Kent ended the session seven tenths faster than Romano Fenati but with conditions so difficult to judge and riders just doing their best to avoid crashes the times were effectively meaningless.
