Pole for Marquez at Le Mans

For the fifth consecutive year Marc Marquez took pole position at Le Mans for the French Grand Prix. Marquez was half a second faster than Andre Dovizioso with tricky conditions at le Mans proving a challenge for the riders. Jorge Lorenzo has looked fast and consistent all weekend and the double MotoGP qualified on the outside of the front row.

Cal Crutchlow, who has struggled in qualifying this year, was fourth fastest and given his performances in races this year he’ll be very well placed for challenging at the front. Crutchlow will be joined on the second row by compatriot Bradley Smith with the Englishmen sandwiching Andre Iannone.

Valentino Rossi had another poor qualifying session with the championship leader seventh on the grid ahead of the returning Dani Pedrosa.
