Moto2: Binder from Lowes again in Qatar

1 of 1

Brad Binder and Sam Lowes have continued to control the top of the time sheets in Moto2 as testing for the series moves from Spain to Qatar, with the two leading the field after the opening day of official testing at the Losail circuit. The pair had their work cut out for them though, with high winds and dust blowing across the track leaving lap times well off the pace.

Binder pulled clear of Lowes towards the end of the day, ending up 0.4 faster – but the British rider is content with his day, sitting out most of the final session to conserve fresh tyres and working hard with the Gresini Kalex team all day on setup.

Fellow Brit Jake Dixon was a content 17th place, spending the day learning the Losail circuit for the first time while being careful not to risk too much in the treacherous conditions. Testing continues tomorrow and Sunday for the middleweight class, before the opening round of the season starts on Friday.
