WATCH: Pol Espargaro is introduced to his 2021 Repsol Honda RC213V

Pol Espargaro has been introduced to his 2021 Repsol Honda RC213V MotoGP bike after the team surprised him at home.

In the video, which can be found at the bottom of this article, Espargaro can be seen on a run with his pet Husky, Eina. Whilst he’s away, HRC team members wheel the iconic Repsol Honda machine into the Spaniard’s garden.The Honda also included Espargaro’s number 44.

What followed was sheer delight and a realisation of a dream that has come true for Espargaro, who joins HRC after spending the last four seasons with the Red Bull KTM team. 2020 marked his, and KTM’s, best year in MotoGP, with Espargaro securing five podiums and fifth overall in the standings.

The 29-year-old also puts on a Repsol Honda branded top, officially revealing himself as a Repsol Honda rider for 2021.

Espargaro will line-up, fitness permitting, alongside former Moto2 rival Marc Marquez. The six-time MotoGP champion has not raced since July after breaking his arm in the season opener at Jerez. Meanwhile, Alex Marquez moves across to the LCR Honda squad after one season with the factory Honda team.
