BMW R12 nineT

I’ve got a few things in place so far this year, and if just some of them come to fruition, I’ll be very happy. The biggest plan I have for the R12 nineT is to ride it over to BMW Motorrad Days in southern Germany to play in the Alps. This will give me a chance to see how it handles with luggage, a screen and on long miles as well as giving it a chance to ride some tasty switchbacks in a BMW-rich environment.

But, as this is a touch more aggressive than anything I’ve ridden so far, I’d like to do a bit of track tuition with BMW Motorrad school to get some entry-level track skills. Afterwards, I may see if the R12 nineT can cope with the track or I may even lend it to an experienced team member to see what it can really do when used in anger!

But I’m also curious to learn how it handles urban environments, so I’ll travel to cities all over the country to see if it truly thrives.
