Honda CBR500R first ride incoming

Published: 22 February 2016

MCN Web Producer Liam Marsden is at the launch of the updated Honda CBR500R and CB500F in Carmona, Spain.

Both models get an aggressive new look for 2016, along with other minor updates such as adjustable front forks, LED lighting, larger 16.7 litre fuel tank and lighter exhausts that improve the mass centralisation and give a better exhaust note. Both bikes remain in the A2 licence category, making 47bhp, with a top speed restricted to 112mph.

Honda also claim a sharper engine response - despite peak figures staying the same - due to improved air flow to the engine.

Check back on Tuesday evening for first impressions.
