Black Friday 2024 - When it's happening and why you should care about it as a biker

It’s that time of year where we start to wonder what deals will be coming up in Black Friday – which will fall on November 29 in 2024.

The Black Friday sales may not seem like something to get excited about from a motorcycling point of view, but there’s often clearance stock to be snapped up as retailers make room for the following year’s ranges.

Tech items like earphones, sat-navs and intercoms can sometimes be discounted on Amazon, making them pretty hard to resist. And we usually see deals on workshop products and tools, too, with battery chargers, tyre inflators and jump packs historically reduced.

if you’re not into buying from Amazon that doesn’t mean you have to miss out, either, plenty of other retailers run equivalent sale events around the same time. In previous years, this has meant clearance on end of range helmets and motorcycle tyres.

What Is Black Friday?

It’s something that sly marketing executives for retailers caught onto in America. Over there, Black Friday occurs the day after Thanksgiving, thus allegedly signalling the beginning of the Christmas season.

It’s been a wonderful excuse for retailers to boost sales with in-store and online deals and businesses in the UK have been fanning the flames of the burning holes in pockets for some years now.

When is Black Friday?

Traditionally on the last weekend of November, meaning this year it will take place on the weekend starting November 29. However, we’ve noticed online shops announcing great deals earlier and earlier in the past.
