Here we've managed to prize ourselves an almost new example of the legandary Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883 Iron from it's owner. It was originally supplied new in March of 2015 and since then remained safely tucked away in the owners garage unused. He recently got it out and decided to move it on to one of our regular customers. He's had it freshly MOT'd and checked over by our service team and while with us, decided to swap it in himself with it having covered just 790 miles in all.,The Iron 883 turns with an ease that masks its 256kg weight and the ready peg-scraping can be fun. The new suspension is capable. It's well-damped and firm but not uncomfortably so, a complaint leveled by some against the predecessor. The soft, bum-cupping seat helps too.,Another feature in its favour, the Iron 883 comes with self-cancelling indicators that actually work, with a button on each bar. And like the Forty-Eight it's beautifully styled, with details like rear indicators that double as a tail light.,Compared to the Forty-Eight, the pegs are much closer to the middle of the bike, just a little forward of the seat, making a more natural sitting position. That makes it also easier to reach the bars, so you don't get instant backache and you can do U-turns without over-stretching one arm. It' an immediately more comfortable and user-friendly machine.,This beauty has been supplied with the very costly, Harley Davidson supplied Uncle Sam bespoke finished tank option which set the buyer back circa 1000.
