More diesel spills loom

Do drivers of diesel-engined vehicles pay more insurance to cover themselves against randomly wrecking our machines? We don’t think so.

As if the problem of diesel spills wasn’t bad enough for us, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders latest research reveals that the sales of diesel-engined cars was up 36 per cent in the first 10 months of 2001. They now account for almost one in five cars on the road. Merry Christmas.
