Riders for Health, the motorcycling charity which works to provide transport for medicine in Africa, has won the Prince Michael of Kent Road Safety Award for 2002 in two categories – the motorcycle industry award and the international award.

MCIA president Steven Norris presented the awards to the charity’s Andrea Coleman at the NEC Show.

Norris said: ” More people die from road accidents in Southern Africa than AIDS. The charity has provided necessary transport for medicine and doctors and taught road safety as well. ”

It has already been named 2001 Charity of the Year by Charity Finance Magazine.

Support the charity in their on-line auction. You’ll find an auction for Colin Edwards’ leathers in News and WSB News.
