Our 996 winner revealed

1 of 1

Barry Simkins is the very chuffed and proud winner of out latest give-away: a blood red Ducati 996.

Barry won with a simple answer to a simple WSB question in the competitions section of our site and it didn’t cost him a penny to enter.

The 53-year-old grandfather took delivery of his prize on Sunday and said: ” This is a dream come true, this has made me such a happy man, I just can’t believe it. ”

Barry, a fork-lift service engineer from Essex, is so proud of his new possession he’s brought it through his patio windows to be parked in his front room… at least until he gets it insured.

He hasn’t owned a bike since 1965, and that was a Honda CB125 twin. He plans to hit the road on his Duke this weekend, providing the weather is fine.

Go careful Barry, you’ll find the 996 a little different

Other recent prize winners include Glen Connelly, from Wolverhampton, Lee Spinks from Newcastle upon Tyne and Paul Gill, from Stockport. They take the honours in our Alan Radio competition to win intercoms. Their prizes have been sent out today.
