Video: On-board for a flying lap of the Nurburgring

1 of 1

Widely acknowledged as the hardest road circuit in the world, many people will never find the nerve to tackle the Nurburgring. Just the statistics are frightening enough. 13 miles, 157 corners with a rise and fall of almost 1000ft. A place where man and machine are tested to the extreme.

Well now you can find out whether it lives up to the hype ,or not; as our on-board cameras bring the Nurburgring to your computer.

Click on the link on the right to download our full lap. We have broken it down into three sections to reduce the download time. But each section is roughly three minutes in duration. Worth the wait? Oh yes.

The first section is from the toll booths at the start through the fast early sections to the exit of Aremberg.

The second section continues the action from Aremberg through the demanding twists of Breidscheid to Klostertal.

Section three picks up the pace and takes you through the infamous Karussell curve, down the 170mph Antoniusbuche straight to the finish.

And with expert commentary to guide you section by section we can, corner by corner we can provide instruction and education for anyone wanting tips or just inspiration to go.

For our expert we turned to Barry Salmon, a veteran of many thousands of laps of the Nurburgring and an instructor at several of the circuit schools which run there throughout the year.

So come on board for a full lap of the ‘Ring on Suzuki’s dynamite GSX-R1000. The ultimate track, the ultimate bike, the ultimate video guide.
