One of the star attractions at the Ally Pally show failed to make an appearance on the opening weekend – but it is there now.

Honda’s radical V5 race bike, the RC211V, was held up at the Brussels International Motorcycle show despite assurances it would be at the Ally Pally for the Saturday opening.

” We are really very sorry for any disappointment caused, ” said show organiser Mike Trimby, ” we only found out ourselves late on Friday night it wouldn’t be there. ”

The bike was due to arrive at 9am on Monday morning having been specially transported overnight from Belgium and should by now have taken its place in the paddock display.

It has been joined by Rossi’s two-stroke 2001 GP winning bike as well. The RCV will stay at the Ally Pally for the duration of the show but the V4 will be leaving at the end of Thursday January 31.
