BOOKING a place on Kevin Schwantz’s race school is as easy as booking any UK track day.

Prices start at £480 for a full day and that included all food and drink, as well as bike hire. Leathers, boots and lid hire costs £70 extra. There is a £650 deposit on the bike (you can leave a credit card) and all the usual disclaimers to sign.

Flights will set you back around £350 and from the airport you can either stay in Atlanta and hire a car to get to the circuit, which is about an hour’s drive away, or get an airport taxi to one of the many motels closer the track. Just ask one of the drivers which cab takes you nearest. The fare is around £20. If you have any problems, the staff at the school can suggest places to stay.
