Most riders are too fat to ride their bikes properly

Round-the-world rider Nick Sanders entertained our VIP Lounge on Thursday with tales from his travels and some pretty strong opinions.

He revealed how an elephant once dumped on an Enfield he was using and completely covered it.

He once rode five days without sleep. He doesn’t wear pants under those leathers (don’t buy his cast-offs) and the only modification he intends to make to his R1 before heading off for a lap of the planet on that, is to add a few sponsors stickers.

He also said he eats very little on his round the world blasts ” to keep myself sharp. ”

He went on to say: ” Most riders are too fat to ride their bikes well and what usually propels them forward at speed is their beer gut. ”
