Police keen to listen to protesters

A PROTEST ride which is expected to attract more than 500 has prompted police chiefs to call urgent talks with the organisers. Following heavy-handed checks on motorcyclists in Gwent and Dyfed-Powys, riders decided to arrange a mass demo on June 23. Now the organisers have been asked to meet senior police officers on June 17. But organiser Paul Henson said that the ride will go ahead in any case. The ride leaves Abergavenny bus station at 10.30am.
