It’s MCN in Skegness this weekend…

Oh Lordy. It’s that time of year again. The time when brain cells and tyres get fried in a long weekend-long binge of burnouts, beer and bikes. Yes, it’s the MCN Autumn Spectacular at Butlins, Skegness.

Apart from top entertainment like supersize songster Buster Bloodvessel and his Bad Manners, there’s a special chat show on Saturday afternoon with Foggy Petronas rider James Haydon, Castrol Honda WSB boss Neil Tuxworth and ex-racer-turned-manager turned PR geezer Roger Burnett, hosted by the Beeb’s Steve Parrish.

Candidate for Greatest Living Englishman, Jamie Whitham, will be rocking the gaff with his band the Po’ Boys on Friday night and the bars will stay open well into Saturday morning.

There’s all sorts of stuff to keep you entertained throughout the weekend – from stunt displays, minimoto races, go-karts, a huge indoor swimming pool, top MCN babes and on Sunday there’s a ride-out to, and sessions around, the awesome Cadwell Park track.

Don’t panic if you haven’t booked your accommodation – there are still a few weekend packages left.

Prices start from just £60 half-board for three days. Call: 0870-242-0870 for more details.

You can also pay for it on the door or pick up one of the days passes available for just £7.50 for access to the site from 9am-5pm.

On Monday, we’ll (hangovers permitting of course) post up your pictures of the whole affair. Send them as JPEGS to dave.batchelor@emap.com and tell us what you thought – good, bad or ugly.

Butlins Skegness is on the coast road heading north from Skegness towards Ingoldmells. Day visitors should use the day gate, which is opposite the main entrance.

Have a good one – we certainly will!
