15bhp boost for under £600

Akrapovic has launched a new exhaust system for the Honda CB1300 offering significant power gains and weight savings over the standard system.

Honda’s big naked bike already puts out 108bhp but you could add another 8.6bhp just by putting on the Akrapovic slip-on end can or if you want to go the whole hog, the full system will give you a massive 14.6bhp increase. The slip on will also save you around 4kg in weight while the full system lops off well over 5kg.

The 4-2-1 pipes on the full system are made from polished stainless steel to complement the look of the bike and are held together by silicon coated tension springs. The oval end can comes in both titanium or carbon-fibre finishes and the internals are made entirely from titanium to help keep the weight down to almost half of the original.

Both options will be available by mid October for around £400 for the slip-on and £580 for the full system.
