Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy at Goodwood Revival

1 of 1

The Goodwood Revival takes place on September 5-7, with races dedicated to Barry Sheene, and a special track demonstration, as tributes. And if you use the token printed in MCN, September 3 on page 15, £1 of the entry price will go to Sheene’s nominated charity CLIC.

The tribute will be led by Barry’s widow Stephanie, and brother-in-law Paul Smart. Personalities taking part include Wayne Gardner, Giacomo Agostini, Damon Hill, Mick Grant, Gary Nixon, Jamie Whitham, John Cooper, Murray Walker and Gerhard Berger. They will be riding some of Sheene’s most famous motorcycles including his championship winning Suzuki and Yamaha, as well as the bikes against which he competed.

The Barry Sheene Memorial trophy is a two-part race, each of eight laps, with competitors on 350-500cc bikes from between 1962-1966. Classics such as MV Agustas, Gileras, Manx Nortons and Matchless will compete for victory.

If you’re going to the event, and want to arrange a ride-out, why not use MCN’s new discussion board specifically for Ride-outs by following the link on the right.
