Government pledges road improvements

1 of 1

The Government has announced a £3.5m plan to help fix the often neglected A and B roads that motorcyclists love.

Despite an increase in the overall standard of British roads, smaller out of town A and B roads have continued to decline in recent years.

But the new Government pledge promises to use new systems to target more effective spending on local roads.

The road surface-testing systems are expected to be in limited use next year but the technology will not be fully developed until at least 2005 so you still need to watch out for those mid-corner potholes.
