Kawasaki contact owners for safety recall

1 of 1

Kawasaki UK is contacting a number of owners of Kawasaki VN1500 and VN1600 cruisers to inform them of a safety recall.

The recall is due to a faulty oil pressure relief valve, which may not respond quickly enough to a cold start and can cause a small amount of engine oil to leak from the filter casing.

Owners of the affected models are being contacted over the next few days and will be advised to take their bike to an authorised Kawasaki dealer to have the valve replaced, which takes just 20 minutes.

The models and model numbers are: VN 1500 L4H, engine numbers VNT50AE121281-128445, VN1500 P2H Meanstreak VNT50AE121281-128445, and the VN1600 A1H VNT60AE000058-003459.

Less than 100 machines are affected, but for more information, contact Kawasaki Motors UK Customer Service on 01628 856760.
