Star Jolie buys own MV

Screen siren Angelina Jolie is now the proud owner of an MV Agusta Brutale. And unlike so many celebs – she’s bought and paid for it herself – the whole £10,500.

Jolie, who lives in the UK, appears on an MV Agusta F4 SPR Senna in the film Gone in 60 Seconds. And as the star of Tomb Raider she rode a modified CCM 644. Now she’s got a bike of her own – in real life.

Stunt rider Ray De-Haan (the bloke you see being knocked off in the Government’s Think Bike ads) has been given her training in both the physical aspects of riding, and in how to look the part as an experienced rider.

“I picked it out for her because it’s easy to ride, has a low seat height, short wheelbase, is easy to manoeuvre and is good in traffic,” said De-Haan.

Explaining his training, he added: “As well as all the usual rider training, I teach the ‘not-talked-about-stuff’, such as the pressure you are under when another rider pulls up alongside you at the traffic lights…”

Angelina is planning more training before hitting the road on her new Brutale. She’s clearly keen on bikes and bikesport and plans to attend some race meets next year.
