Muscle in on a V-Max

Yamaha’s iconic V-Max could be making a spectacular return – according to the report from the Tokyo Show you’ll find in this week’s MCN (Apr 13 issue)

It was discontinued in the UK last year but there are plenty of used examples to be found as the unqiue muscle-cum-drag bike celebrates its 20th anniversary.

The V-max is still on sale in the US and this special edition bike celebrates the 20th anniversary and has been imported specially. It’s brand new and is still only £7095

This matt black UK bike has only got 22 miles on the clock and is the final edition. All for just £5999.

For a cheaper alternative this 1994 bike has only done 13,000 miles and is up for £2950. It comes with a Cybermax high-level exhaust as well as the original and a Cat 1 alarm.

This 97 V-Max has been heavily modified with a manual V-Boost switch, R1 forks, 8-inch rear wheel and an extended and braced swing-arm. All for just £5800.

If you want a more modern, British and even more brutal alternative, try the 2.3 litre Triumph Rocket III. This 2700mile bike is up for £11,475.

The Honda CB1300 makes another muscular option and this bike can be yours for £4899 with just 3461 miles on the clock.

Or why not look at this 2003 Kawasaki ZRX1200 which is listed at £4180 with 3323 miles on the clock.
