Cannonball ready to roll

Published: 19 August 2005

MCN road tester Adam 'Chad' Child takes on the likes of the 'Ghost Rider' when he sets off on the Cannonball Bike Run on Tuesday night (Aug 23).

Wish him luck yourself - he'll be at London's Ace Cafe for the official start of the run on Tuesday night - from 6-8pm. The run proper launches with the entrants' departure from Dover on Wednesday (Aug 24) and covers 1200 miles on routes which will be kept secret until the last moment.

Chad's Vivaldi racing British Superstock-spec ZX-10R arrived at our offices on Friday (Aug 19). And after a fair amount of drooling we managed to get some audio and video for you to download.

You'll be able to keep track of Chad's progress day by day on motorcyclenews.com from Tuesday this week.

The whole rule-free event starts off from the Ace Cafe on Tuesday night (Aug 23) and ends up with a party in an amazing location on Friday.

"We've been told to be there between 6pm and 8pm." said Chad.

Download the video and audio below to find out where that final party is, what's special about his ZX-10R, how you'll be able to see all the action for yourself and much more.

Some users may find it best to 'right click' on the links below and 'save target as' to save the downloads to their desktop before playing back.
