Ewan demands lock-up

1 of 1

Ewan McGregor stars in the opening night of Guys and Dolls in London’s West End on June 1, safe in the knowledge that his bike is secured in a purpose-built lock-up by the stage door.

McGregor is reported to have wanted assurances that his bike would be safe during his run at the Piccadilly Theatre – opting to ride to work in the capital.

A theatre insider is quoted (by contactmusic.com) as saying, “Ewan asked if the theatre carpenter could build a little lock-up shed for his beloved motorbike outside the stage door.”

Ewan may have been stirred to action by the fact that his Long Way Round co-star – actor Charley Boorman – had his R1150GS stolen while on his way to a BMW track session last month. See link right.
