Bargain hyper tourers

BMW’s K1200S has finally hit dealers after a few pre-launch upsets but if you don’t want to pay the ten grand for a new bike we’ve chosen some of the best bargain alternatives from our Bikes For Sale section.

The K1200S goes up against its rivals in MCN this week. See it take on the Hayabusa and ZX-12R around the unrestricted roads of the Isle of Man.

There isn’t a massive range to choose from in the hyper-tourer market but there are still plenty of bargains to be had and we’ve picked out five of the best.

The Suzuki Hayabusa hasn’t been updated for five years now so this smart looking all black machine won’t be much different from buying new and at £6499 it is a hell of a lot cheaper.

The BMW K1200S replaces the K1200RS but with 130bhp the older machine is still no slouch and you could pick up this 2001 model for just£6395 with panniers included.

The Kawasaki ZZ-R1200 used to be the king of sports tourers and will still get you there incomfort at lightning fast speeds. This 2003 model has only done 2700 miles and is up for £5695.

Honda’s SuperBlackbird is still a popular choice and this 2002 bike can be yours for £5675 with just 8000 miles on the clock.

Kawasaki’s ZX-12R is the most sporting of this bunch but surprisingly it is more comfortable than the Hayabusa. This 2002 bike in Kawasaki green is up for £5799.

This is just a small selection of the bargains available in our Bikes for Sale section. Click here to do an advanced search and find the perfect bike for you.
