MCN at George White's...

MCN and the staff at George White’s teamed up for a very successful official launch over the Bank Holiday weekend (April 29-May 1).

Not only were the MCN Babe Squad at the new store in Shoreditch, East London, but they were joined by celebrities including Olympic rower James Cracknell, WSB star Noriyuki Haga, ex-racer and now commentator Jamie Whitham, model and biker Jodie Marsh, and even Hell’s Kitchen contestant Caroline Garvey. See celeb videos and pictures, here.

Hundreds of bikers turned up to enjoy the entertainment, which included free MCN goodie bags, a chance to play the new TT Superbikes game and win a scooter for the fastest time, several fashion shows by the MCN girls and autograph sessions and chats with all the celebrities. And there was also the chance to win a brand new Yamaha R6, in a free-to-enter prize draw. Six names were randomly picked to be assigned a key, and whoever had the right key to start the bike, won it. The lucky winner was Yvonne Tsharntke from London, who was already planning to pass her Direct Access test, but now has an extra incentive, while the five runners-up each got a pair of Superbike tickets courtesy of MCN.

And there are three packed floors of things to browse at the store, with a Used Bike floor, a new Bike showroom, and a full clothing department featuring the likes of Arlen Ness, Shoei, Suomy, Frank Thomas and AGV. If that wasn’t enough, the huge numbers of bikers parking outside the showroom created an attraction of their own with a wide range of tuned and tweaked machinary, ranging from scooters and quads to fully tuned R1s, Blades and ZX-10Rs.
