Spot us on test

1 of 1

Motorcyclenews.com used bikes editor Angus Farquhar is heading off for two days to see if there really is still a need for hypersports bikes like Suzuki’s Hayabusa.

When the Hayabusa, Kawasaki ZX-12R and Honda Blackbird were first introduced, the gap between them and the superbikes was significant.

But with massively increased comfort and performance levels on the latest crop of 1000cc bikes is there really any point in going for the bigger bikes or is it just as easy to go touring on a Blade as it is on a Blackbird.

Angus, MCN Road tester Adam Child and four other riders will be taking the Blackbird, Hayabusa and ZX-12R and pitting them against the Blade, GSX-R1000 and ZX-10R by riding them to Fort William, Scotland and back so if you see them go and say hi.

Angus will be checking in regularly throughout Monday and Tuesday with pictures and video to update us on how the test is going and you can read the full report in the September 28 edition of MCN.
