Long distance fundraiser

Biker Kevin Ward is planning to ride from John O’Groats to Lands End in one day to raise money for the air ambulance that saved his life.

Ward was involved in a serious accident in 2004 that left him with a broken back, amongst other injuries. Now he has recovered he wants to show his thanks to the helicopter team by raising as much as possible for the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance trust.

The trust receives no support from the government and is completely reliant on private donations to meet its £100,000 per month running costs.

Ward’s trip will take place on Sunday May 28 and he hopes to raise the a significant amount of money before he leaves.
