What phone do I need?

Any phone which is WAP-enabled, 2.5g or 3g, or has a colour screen or video capabilities, should be able to access the service. If your phone doesn’t have video you won’t be able to see the race footage, but there’s tons on the site which isn’t reliant on action footage of races. In short, most phones will work, and if yours doesn’t, the chances are it’s so old you could wangle a free new one from your provider.

What happens when I text MCN to 80876

By Texting MCN to 80876 you will be subscribing to MCN Mobile and will get a four week trial FREE of charge. After the four week a charge of 50p per week will apply.

You will first be sent a confirmation message that you have been subscribed to MCN Mobile and then receive a WAP link and/or a SMS message with the WAP link details. You can link directly to the site.

This is your unique personal link which you must NOT forward to other handsets as you could then be liable for any purchases they make. If you suspect that someone else has accessed the site using your link then you should unsubscribe immediately by texting ‘STOP’ to 80876

How do I bookmark MCN mobile on my phone?

We strongly recommend that you Bookmark MCN Mobile when you receive the link as it can be quite tricky to retrieve service messages from your handset.

Bookmarking saves your favourite sites so that you can find them again later. Whilst using MCN WAP you can do this by simply selecting the ‘Bookmark’, ‘Add bookmark’ or ‘Favourites’ option from your phone’s menu.

In future, simply select the MCN link from your ‘Bookmarks’/’Favourites’ menu to connect to MCN WAP. For further help with bookmarking, consult your mobile’s user manual.

How do I unsubscribe to MCN Mobile

To unsubscribe to MCN Mobile you should send a text message with the word ‘STOP’ to 80876

How much does it cost to look at MCN Internet content on my phone or send in an SMS?

Following the four week trail MCN Mobile will cost 50p per week and you can view literally hundreds of pages of amazing content and pictures. We will not charge you to view this content.

There will be additional costs to download certain premium items of content including some videos, ring tones, games and wallpapers. However, your operator’s charges for using the internet on your phone will apply.

Costs vary from operator to operator. Operators may charge for time spent browsing or amount of data downloaded. E.g. If an operator charges £2 per MB of data downloaded, it would cost approx. 1 penny to read three pages of a MCN Text feature.

Consult your operator to find out their specific charges. Sending SMS messages to the MCN will generally cost 12-15p as standard network charges vary, although you may have free text’s as part of your contract bundle.

What internet address do I type into my mobile to get MCN content?

Unfortunately you cannot type in the address in your WAP browser as every subscriber to the site receives a personal and unique URL. To receive your very own link to access the site just Text ‘MCN’ to 80876

How much does it cost to download premium content?

On the site there is the opportunity to also buy premium downloads for your phone. Premium content typically includes Ring Tones, Wallpapers and Video. These range in cost from £1.50 to £3.50 and will be clearly advertised prior to purchase.

What happens if I do not receive my MCN content?

Unfortunately there are a number of reasons why this could happen. It could be a network operator issue, a problem with your handset or a technical problem trying to deliver the content to your phone.

You should check with your handset manufacturer what sort of content your phone can download. Most recent phones have the ability to download polyphonic realtones and colour wallpapers however not all phones can download video clips.

If you have purchased a premium download and have not received the link please be patient as this can sometimes be due to delays at the network level.

If after 20 minutes your link has not arrived then call the customer care number 0870 2480277 and our customer care team can track if the link has been sent out or verify if the content has already been downloaded.
