2006 Thundersprint

The 2006 Thundersprint event will take place in Northwich Town centre on Sunday, May 7.

The action takes place with timed sprints on an tight and twisty circuit in the town centre, with riders including six-time world champion Jim Redman on a 1972 CR750 Honda, and European champion Sammy Miller on a 1957 Gilera.

Other bikes already confirmed are German AWO racers which have never been seen in Britain, a 140mph 50cc Kriedler, and two riders settling who owns the fastest BSA B.50 in the world. There is also a lunchtime cavalcade with over 200 race and road bikes, plus an aerobatic display by a Spitfire, and street entertainment.
