eBay fails motorcyclists

An investigation in the latest issue of RiDE magazine reveals eBay may be far from the ideal marketplace for buying and selling bikes.

An article appearing on pages 6-7 of the ‘May’ issue, says: “RiDE has been monitoring eBay bike transactions for weeks and we’ve yet to see more than a handful which struck us to be worth the effort… two-thirds failed to sell because they didn’t meet their reserve price.”

“Typically the bikes that didn’t sell on eBay were less than four years old, had low or average mileage and a reserve price in excess of £3000.”
