Top gong for tourers

An Aberdeen-based company offering guided motorcycle tours around Scotland has won a prestigious industry award.

Scotlandbybike.com was awarded with the innovation category of Visit Scotland’s highly Scotland Thistle Awards 2006.

The company received their award at a gala dinner at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre at the end of October.

Stewart Buchanan, Managing Director of Scotlandbybike.com, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have won the innovation category of the Thistle Awards, which are often referred to within the industry as the tourism Oscars.

“Everyone in the team has worked extremely hard to achieve the business success we have enjoyed over the past 12 months.”
