Barry Sheene - a Challenge

1 of 1

Hi, In June of next year I will be taking part in the Barry Sheene Memorial Motorcycle Challenge to raise funds for CLICSargent, an organisation that cares for children with cancer.

Barry Sheene himself was a supporter of CLICSargent and lost his fight to cancer in 2003 and this challenge has been organised to mark the start of his racing career 40 years ago and to raise funds for CLICSargent.

I have met and remember seeing Barry race many years ago and felt that this ride for charity would be a great way to celebrate this, raise money and for me to make a difference to the ten children and young people who are diagnosed every day with cancer.

The ride will start at Brands Hatch and finish at the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona, along the way we will be visiting race circuits like Le Mans and Magny Cours.

I have recently returned to biking after 26 years and I will be riding a Triumph Street Triple on the challenge, the round trip from Preston will be around 2500 miles.

I will be taking video of the trip and after completing the challenge I will be posting it on Youtube.

If you would like to sponsor me or make a donation to CLICSargent please visit my fundraising page at www.justgiving/markallton Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.

It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC Sargent will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support. Mark Allton.
