Strikes in Italy have forced the Ducati factory to close today, Wednesday December 12, 2007, from 8.30am-12.30pm.

The strike has been taken by Italian lorry drivers over higher fuel prices and has now reached its third day. Car firm Fiat was forced to send 22,000 workers home yesterday, and may temporarily send the entire workforce of 50,000 home if the strike continues, as planned, for five days.
