1 of 1

MCN has a vacancy for a News Reporter to join it’s award-winning news team providing world-leading articles across our print and web platforms.

MCN’s news team is responsible for covering and generating every major motorcycling story anywhere around the world. Many of our stories are picked-up and run by the national daily press and are often repeated by the big motorcycle magazines around the globe.

There’s also a current vacancy for a Junior Web Producer on motorcyclenews.com For more information, click here.

As varied as you could imagine, the job could take the lucky candidate around the world covering all types of motorcycle-related news and events. On Tuesday you could be flying out to Italy to talk to Yamaha, Thursday sees you at Donington to test out a trackday and Monday has you in the office putting the final touches to your world-first scoop on the next generation Triumphs.

The position is one of the most sought after in the motorcycling world and involves working on MCN’s newsdesk providing world first articles for both of our demanding print and web needs.

You will be involved in all aspects of the newsdesk from writing stunningly-brilliant investigative features and pithy news stories to planning, from commissioning photographers and freelancers to analysing what the future holds for bikers.

You will also be involved in directing photo-shoots and pulling together some of the most comprehensive contacts in the two-wheeled world.

You could be called upon to represent MCN and motorcycling in general to the national and international media.

This is not an easy job but for those who can do it, there is nothing as rewarding and exciting as working on MCN’s toughest section.

We need an experienced news reporter who is looking to step up to a national newspaper to really make their mark and expand their skills.

The job would suit a strong news reporter with a love of motorcycles and motorcycling who is ready for a new challenge that brings together their excellent skills as a newshound and their two-wheeled passion.

If you fit the bill, send a letter explaining why you should get the job, your CV and five news feature ideas to: Tony Carter, Acting Deputy Editor, Motor Cycle News, Media House, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, Cambs, PE6 2EA
