North Yorkshire could get first speed camera

Talks between the new Chief Constable of North Yorkshire and councils in the county could lead to a new speed camera partnership being established in the area.

Chief Constable Grahame Maxwell was appointed in May this year, and has previously worked in South and West Yorkshire, who both operate partnerships. The size of the county has previously been a barrier to operating a partnership, as the county has 6000 miles of highways.
